Dairy cattle can be fed soybean meal up to a maximum of 40% of daily granular feed and bulls up to a maximum of 50%. However, normally 30% of daily soybean meal consumption is considered to be a balanced amount.

20-30% can be used in layer chicken feed and 25-40% in broiler chicken feed. The amount of soybean meal used depends on other ingredients and protein supplements.
