Antiworm Vet Bolus

Antiworm Vet Bolus is an ideal deworming bolus for cattle.

Composition

Each bolus contains triclabendazole INN 900 mg and levamisole hydrochloride BP 600 mg.

Mode of Action of Antiworm Vet Bolus

Triclabendazole acts on parasites by interfering with their energy-generating metabolism. It is an inhibitor of fumarate reductase. Blockage of the fumarate reductase step form of adenosine triphosphate (ATP). In the absence of usable energy, the parasite dies. Levamisole Hydrochloride has a paralyzing action on nematodes.

Levamisole acts as a ganglion stimulant (cholinomimetric). Levamisole-induced contractions of parasites are blocked by the autonomic ganglion blocking agents’ meca- melamine and pempidine.

Indications

Antiworm bolus is effective in both the Prevention and Treatment of the following parasites & diseases

1. Liver Flukes – F hepatica & F gigantic

2. Gastro-Intestinal Nematodes-

  1. Haemonchus spp
  2. Ostertagia spp
  3. Cuperia spp
  4. Trichostrongylus spp
  5. Bunostomum spp
  6. Oesophagostomum spp
  7. Dictyocaulus spp

Instructions

Antiworm Vet Bolus is an effective liver dewormer. All types of liver helminths caused by Fasciola hepatica and Fasciola gigantica and major roundworms of the stomach and intestinal tracts such as Abomezam’s Haemonchus and Ostertageia; Cuperia minor, Trichostrongylus, and Bunostomum; Esophagostomum and Trichuris of the colon and various species of lung Dictyoclus species can be eradicated by anthelmintic bolus.

Application

2 boluses per 75-150 kg of body weight or 19.5 mg per kg of body weight.
Antiworm wet bolus should be mixed with water or mixed with food (eg molasses, banana leaves).
To be used only as prescribed by a registered veterinarian.
And cannot use more than the amount specified in the order.

safe level

Antiworm Vet Bolus is very well tolerated by the animal. Triclabendaz has safe levels up to about 16 times the prescribed dose and levamisole about 3 times the prescribed dose.

Side effects and precautions

Antiworm Vet Bolus has no side effects. Can be used during the treatment of any other disease. Adequate clean water should be given to animals after deworming.

Withdrawal period

Humans should not consume meat from that animal within 28 days of treatment and milk within 10 days.

Store away from light, in a cool and dry place. Keep out of reach of children.
